This course is written and designed by Sussex Safety to give managers and supervisors the knowledge to understand their health and safety responsibilities, and reduce risks to staff, clients and their organisation. The course can be tailored to the policies of your organisation, so delegates become familiar with your documentation. Tutors are experienced health and safety risk managers and share real life situations and experiences, which gives insight to improve safety management systems. Delegates are encouraged to write an action plan during the course to take back to their workplace. It is scenario-based, taking 4 case studies, and discussing the implications of each, based on their organisation’s risks and documentation.

This is an highly interactive course using high quality graphics to assist learning. This 1 day course is designed to be fun and to get delegates fully involved and interested. It is jargon free, teaching only what they need to know in practice. It focuses on best practice rather than legislation, and provides employees with an awareness of their own safety, as well as the safety of others. This course has been designed so that it can be taught according to the policies and procedures of individual organisations, either as an assessor course or as a refresher. The course includes a review of legal, moral and financial reasons for managing health risks, how to set up a DSE workstation or laptop and how to conduct a risk assessment. There is a short assessment at the end of the day to ensure learning has taken place.
